- Cancellation by the Client
More than 60 days before departure
Cancellation is permitted with a refund of the amount paid, less any non-refundable fees or charges already incurred by Richtersveld Tours.
31–60 days before departure
50% of the total tour price will be retained as a cancellation fee.
The remaining balance will be refunded, less any non-refundable third-party costs.
15–30 days before departure
75% of the total tour price will be retained.
Any additional non-refundable accommodation, transport, permit or supplier costs may also be deducted.
14 days or less before departure
No refund will normally be provided.
Richtersveld Tours may, at its discretion, consider a partial refund where costs can be recovered from suppliers. - No-Show or Late Arrival
If a client fails to arrive for the scheduled tour, arrives too late to participate, or abandons the tour after commencement, no refund will normally be provided. - Cancellation by Richtersveld Tours
Richtersveld Tours reserves the right to cancel or modify a tour where circumstances beyond its reasonable control make the tour unsafe or impractical, including severe weather, road conditions, natural disasters, government restrictions or other force-majeure circumstances.
Where Richtersveld Tours cancels a tour, clients will be offered either:
- A transfer to an alternative available tour date; or
- A refund of amounts received for the affected tour, subject to any non-refundable third-party costs.
- Changes to a Booking
Requests to change the travel date or other booking arrangements should be made as early as possible.
Changes are subject to availability and may result in additional charges from accommodation providers, transport operators or other suppliers. - Travel Insurance
Clients are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, interruption, medical emergencies, evacuation and other unforeseen circumstances.
Richtersveld Tours cannot accept responsibility for losses that could reasonably have been covered by appropriate travel insurance. - Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed after the cancellation has been assessed and any applicable supplier charges have been confirmed.
The time required for the refund to reflect may depend on the payment method and financial institution used. - Acceptance of Terms
Payment of a deposit or full tour amount constitutes acceptance of the Richtersveld Tours booking terms and cancellation policy.
